Steve and Ronnog Seaberg have been a force in creative theater for years.
Perhaps they are best known for the Skeleton Theater
But, who they are and what they do go way beyond this,
Living Statues, shown here, is a balance (literally)
of poetry and living sculpture

Space Pants
(Real Audio 3)
(64k)

They say that even in Outer Space
There is a pair of enormous pants.
They are as black as coal.
If you get sucked into one leg hole,
you may not get out through the waist.
There is another leg,
for a secret phoenix egg.
To hatch, to scramble and to baste
Outer Space Pants
are made of see through lace.

Living Statues
(Real Audio 3)
(94k)
Moving from channel to channel, I see
Living statues on the TV,
holding up society
while it's moulding
paralyzed lions and tigers at the zoo
paralyzed love, all true
Stone maidens, shiny eyes
plaster of paris skies
hours of bronze flowers
Look at the black heels
and the black toenails
This fails It steals
lives, time, space
Wood shavings in my face

Isn't that anything that's funny?
(Real Audio 3)
(59k)

But isn't it anything that's funny?
Cripples, speach impediments,
foreign accents, a stupid clown,
and people who fall down
Funny bones, pained faces,
misunderstandings, false embraces.
Are rich people funny?
Or the poor?
Let's laugh some more.
